MPS Announce Changes to SOE Academy Game Schedule
School of Excellence teams to play multi-festival format of games this spring

Waltham, 9th March 2010; Mass Premier Soccer is excited to announce a reformatting of the School of Excellence (SOE) Academy game schedule which will come immediately into effect in spring 2010.

In previous years, all SOE Academy teams have played a 5-game regular season game schedule culminating with a club-based Jamboree.  The spring 2010 season will see the launch of a multi-festival format for all U10, U11 and U12 teams.  Each SOE team will play two games at three separate festivals during the course of the spring season.  This will provide a total of six regular season games (increased from five), in addition to the end of season Jamboree.  The new format will also see three weekends free of organized competition.

“The change to the SOE Academy game schedule was designed to give players more playing time as they continue in their soccer development pathway,” said MPS School of Excellence Director Justin Capell.  “The introduction of a festival format will bring all coaches, parents and players from specific age groups to one centralized location on game days to further enhance the game day experience within the SOE program.”

MPS will confirm all facility locations and dates and communicate to players and parents by Friday, April 9th.

For more information on playing opportunities within the MPS School of Excellence Program, please contact MPS SOE Director Justin Capell on 781-891-6900 ext.20 or jcapell@mpsbr.com
