MPS Bulldogs Complete Remarkable Premier Team Season
Five teams aged U13-U17 Qualify for USL North American Finals

Waltham, MA, 20h August 2010; The MPS Bulldogs Premier Team program recently completed an extraordinary season, capped with the tremendous achievement of all five teams aged U13 – 17 each qualifying for the USL Super-Y League North American Finals.

In a season which also saw the program capture a US Club Soccer National Championship and have a player represent the US National Team at U14 level, the MPS Bulldogs enjoyed a successful 2010.

“The past 12 months has been littered with remarkable accomplishments for individual players, individual teams and the program as a whole,” said departing MPS Bulldogs Director Andrew Moir.  “The program goal at the start of the season was to qualify each age group for the USL Super-Y League North American finals and to accomplish this is fantastic for all the players and coaching staff associated with the MPS Bulldogs Premier Team program.”

In addition to the USL Super-Y League success, the MPS Bulldogs marked an accomplishment on the national stage in 2010 by winning the US Club Soccer Super Group National Championship at the U17 age level.

At the finals held in Virginia Beach, VA, the MPS U17 Bulldogs, coached by Joe Bradley and Tim Mason, defeated the highly regarded Chicago Fire Juniors Development Academy (ranked #1 in Illinois) and California based Juventus Monarchas (ranked #11 in the nation) en-route to the championship game.

Also making a splash on the national stage in 2010 was MPS U15 Bulldogs player Declan McCabe.  The Westom, MA native marked his inclusion in the US U14 National Team by participating in many international events throughout the year.

McCabe represented his country in the US, Mexico and Europe throughout the year as he developed an impressive resume of National Team experience during 2010.

"It was very rewarding to see the U17 Bulldogs capture the 10th national championship at youth level for the club this season,” said Moir.  “This team has continued to grow each year and their success is a direct result of their attitude and application during their time in the MPS player development pathway.  It is also very pleasing to see MPS School of Excellence graduate Declan McCabe represent his country on the national stage.  At MPS we pride ourselves on being able to develop a player technically, tactically, physically and psychologically and Declan has excelled in each of these categories during his time with the club.”

The MPS Bulldogs U13-U17 teams will conclude their season in November as they head to Tampa, FL to compete in the USL Super-Y League National Finals.  The MPS Bulldogs Program draws players from the Boston, Bay State West, Metro West, and Central MA regions.  For more information on playing opportunities in the MPS Bulldogs Program please contact Peter Bradley on 781-891-6900 ext.13 or pbradley@mpsbr.com
