Waltham, MA, 1^st September 2010; The MPS Lady Knights program recently completed their second season as part of the MPS Premier Team Program and made significant strides during the year.

Established in 2009, the MPS Lady Knights were led by the U14 side this season who finished second in the USL Super-Y League standings, and placed as the highest MPS side in the New England Division.  In 2010, the MPS Lady Knights have continued to grow and will field teams aged U13 – U16.

“While still young in program existence, the MPS Lady Knights have already set a benchmark for success after the performance of the U14 side this season,” said MPS Knights / Lady Knights Director Andy Prosser.  “The MPS Lady Knights program is designed to offer a professional and elite environment for girls in the North Shore / Northern MA regions.”

The U15 Lady Knights also enjoyed a season highlight during 2010 attending the US Club Soccer National Championships held in Virginia Beach, VA during July.

The Lady Knights also had individual success during the year when Alysandria Wayne was selected for the Region I ODP Pool for the second year in a row.

Wayne, who will be attending Phillips Academy in Andover this fall, was selected for the elite group of  players after attending the 1996 Regional ODP Camp held from July 12^th-16^th at the University of Rhode Island.  She was one of only five players in the pool to represent Massachusetts.

"The MPS Lady Knights program has built a solid foundation for success and we look forward to another year of success on the field as we look to continue to grow,” said Prosser.  “We have made significant steps in our initial two years and we exist with the goal of welcoming the best players in the region into our program.”
