MPS Welcome NSCAA Clinician to Professional Development Seminar
Giovanni Pacini leads 65 MPS coaches through on field session

Waltham, MA, 28th September, 2011; Last Friday at Veterans Field, Waltham, MPS staff members enjoyed a professional development seminar by NSCAA Technical Committee Chairman Giovanni Pacini.

Pacini, an NSCAA Master Coach, led 65 MPS coaches through a practical session outlining his coaching philosophy and methodology as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to providing Professional Development for all staff.

“To have an individual with the experience of Giovanni Pacini to help educate our staff is fantastic for the club,” said MPS Director of Coaching Peter Bradley.  “Giovanni has travelled the world observing professional coaches and built an extensive knowledge of the game and it was great to have an insight into his methods.”

Pacini enters his 30th year in coaching and 14th as Head men's soccer coach at Lasell College. He has been voted "Coach of the Year" by the North Atlantic Conference in 2000, 2002 and 2006 and also "Collegiate Soccer Coach of the Year" by the Eastern Massachusetts High School Coaches Association in 2005 and 2006.

His involvement with the game spans from youth to the professional level working alongside some of the most noted coaches in the world. He serves the NSCAA as the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Technical Coordinator and is Chairman of the prestigious NSCAA Technical Committee. He holds the Premier and Advanced National Diplomas, and is a member of both the National Academy Staff and National Goalkeeper Academy staff.

“As MPS we commit to educating our staff and we are delighted to provide professional development seminars which aid in the growth of all of our coaches,” said Bradley.  “We look forward to welcoming additional high class clinicians to the club throughout the fall.”

Each Friday morning during the fall and spring seasons, MPS coaches partake in a two hour practical session aimed at the development of each coach at the club. In addition to those sessions conducted by MPS senior staff members, the club has also welcomed NCAA college coaches, US Youth National Team Regional coaches and NSCAA clinicians.

MPS are continually looking to recruit licensed coaches to join the staff. For more information on employment opportunities, please contact Andy Prosser on 781-891-6900 ext 16 or aprosser@mpsbr.com
