
Open League Report 07/06/10
North --> With four games played and remaining undefeated throughout - Manchester/Cape Ann United are currently sitting on top of the pile with 10 points, including three great victories and one tie. Close behind and also holding on to their undefeated tag are the New England Aztec Yellows – who will be looking to cut the gap at the top this week with their game in hand. The mid-table battle looks set to continue this week between the New England Aztec-U23 whites, South Africa and Stoneham United. Woburn who were recently edged out by top of the table Manchester will be hoping for a more positive outcome this week, in their clash with Stoneham.
South --> In a closely grouped league, their remain two league leaders after the first two matches. Both Galway Rovers FC and City FC have their 100% records intact and will be looking for these to continue with this weeks fixtures ahead of them. The three remaining teams look closely bunched, with our own MPS team seeking to improve their league position alongside Dynamis United FC this week. Malden FC who currently lie bottom of the group will have to wait until Thursday to attempt to get their first victory of the season.
West --> In the final group in the TSL Open league, it is Holliston who are top of the group after three victories and one loss. The Black Rhinos who play Shipyard this week are contesting the top spot and they will be looking to keep the pressure on this week with another victory. At the other end of the table Hydra FC and FC Hooligans meet this week in what is sure to be a great game, with both teams looking to get their seasons up and running after respectively tough starts.
