MPS U15 Renegade Named to '93/'94 SYL Select

McKenzie Hunt catches the eye of selectors

 

Waltham, 12th February 2008; MPS is delighted to announce that U15 Renegades starlet McKenzie Hunt (Sudbury, MA) was selected to the Super Y-League '93/'94 ODP girls select team at the culmination of the recent selection camp held in Cocoa Beach, Florida. 

“McKenzie performed an an extremely high level and was rightfully recognized in the final squad selection,” said Mark McDevitt, MPS Premier Team Director.  “These camps are designed to identify the best players in the nation at this age range and it is testament to McKenzie that she has performed at such a high level. ”

Players are selected to attend the SYL ODP camp based on their performances during the Y-League season.  The weekend allows players to display their ability with other high level players and showcase their talents in front of selectors.

"The speed of play in the [final selection] match was tremendous,” said Jesse Kolmel, Head Coach of the '93/'94 White Squad at the event. “The top 18 to 20 players in this camp can compete with any team in the nation including the girls at the U.S. National Team level.”

Hunt joins Stephanie Gilkenson, Allison Coppenrath, Courtney Harnias, Lyndsay Pallotta and Gabrielle Jatkola who were selected to the '89/'90 select team after last weeks selection camp.
