Renegades win sixth consecutive contest
Craft and Gans notch in 2-0 victory over Fredericksburg

Waltham, MA, 14th June 2008;  Two second half goals were enough to give the MPS Boston Renegades a 2-0 victory over the visiting  Fredericksburg Lady Gunners Saturday at Whitman-Hanson High School.

Jamie Craft and Marcy Gans each tallied  second half goals to give Darren Gallagher's side their sixth consecutive W-League victory.

"We are delighted to pick up another three points against a very organized and disciplined Fredericksburg side," said Renegades Head Coach Gallagher.  "We were very sluggish in the first half but Jamie's goal right after the interval gave us the kick start we needed. "

Half-Time substitute Craft
settled the nerves of the home fans with virtually her first kick of the ball.  After a terrific front post run, the former University of Louisville forward dispatched a teasing cross from MT McDonnell in the 46th minute.

The Lady Gunners continued to frustrate the home side throughout the second period but Gans ended the game as a contest in the 88th minute of play with a terrific glancing header into the bottom corner of the net.

"The three points allow us to keep the momentum moving forward," said Gallagher.  "We travel to New York this weekend for a pair of very difficult road games which we will go back to the training ground to prepare for."

The Renegades travel to Long Island to take on the host Lady Rough Riders on Saturday the 21st June.  The following day will see Gallagher's side face off against New York Magic.
