The afternoon featured a meet
and greet with the club's players and Revolution mascot Slyde. Some of the
players on hand included Taylor Twellman, Khano Smith, Doug Warren, Jeff
Larentowicz and Chris Albright.
The skills challenge forced
players to dribble slalom style around a tight array
of cones while working against the stopwatch. Stark, as an 11 years old, was
placed in the 11- 13 year-old bracket. The South Shore SOE player was the only
participant out of 30 boys and 30 girls not to miss a cone.
"We are delighted and would like to
congratulate Jack for winning this event," said MPS Director of Coaching Paul
Baber. "We have seen a huge improvement in Jack's game this year as he has
worked extremely hard during the School of Excellence All Star program."
Stark has played with MPS since
the fall of 2006. As a member of Darren Gallagher's South Shore SOE
program, the dynamic midfielder has also been a consistent member of the All
Star program.
