Soccer would like to congratulate Nick Cotter and Isabella DeSouza for
collecting the Thunder Sports Player of the Month awards for May.
Cotter
and DeSouza have been selected on the basis of their outstanding and
invaluable contributions to the MPS U15 Crusaders and the MPS U17 Renegades
respectively.
Cotter has been an outstanding addition to Head Coach Graham Munro's U15
Crusaders squad which currently sits at the top of the USL Super Y-League New
England Division. Despite playing with a cast to protect a broken wrist,
Cotter has showed grit and determination to lead his team to crucial wins over
the MPS Bulldogs, Seacoast United and BW Rhode Island in league action.
“Nick has had a fantastic start to the season and his goals have
been a major driving force behind our success.” said Head Coach Munro. “His
willingness to play with a broken wrist is testament to his attitude and desire
and he has certainly led by example so far this season.”
DeSouza,
a member of James Hamblin's U17 Renegades squad, has propelled her side to
successful runs in the MA State Cup, the Needham tournament and the Super-Y
League. Her ability to find the back the back of the net has helped guide
her team to early season success.
“Isabella is a new player who has come in and made a huge impact
to the fortunes of our side thus far," said Head Coach Hamblin “She
possesses all the abilities of a top forward and has been a driving force behind
our success this year.”
Congratulations to Nick Cotter and Isabella Desouza who receive a
Thunder Sports $25 dollar gift certificate for their individual success and
contribution to their team throughout the month of May. |
