Waltham, 12th August 2009; MPS would like to congratulate Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu, Ryan Rose, Matthew Mozynski, Matthew Meinwaseh-Nyeayea and Declan McCabe for their selection to the Region I ODP pool.
The quintet of players earned recognition after impressing selectors at the Regional Camp, held at Rider university in New Jersey last month.
Mozynski, Meinwaseh-Nyeayea and Rose were selected for the ’95 squad while Wheeler Omiunu and McCabe were selected for the ’94 squad and ’96 squad respectively.
“We are delighted for Andrew, Ryan, Matthew, Matthew and Declan to be recognized within this elite bracket of players,” said MPS Director of Coaching Peter Bradley. “Each of the five boys has a tremendous work ethic and they should be very proud of their achievement.”
Wheeler-Omiunu, Rose, Mozynski, Meinwaseh-Nyeayea and McCabe are all part of the MPS U14 Bulldogs who recently completed a fantastic season under Head Coach Andrew Moir.
The U14 Bulldogs will head to Tampa, FL in November for the USL Super-Y League National finals after an outstanding 10-1-1 regular season. Together with their success in the Y-League was a Finalist appearance in the USYS Massachusetts State Cup and international success in the Plate Final of the Galway Cup in Ireland.
“The U14 Bulldogs have had a glittering season and it is great to see individual accolades complimenting a tremendous team effort,” said Bradley. “We look forward to this team continuing to grow within the MPS Player Development System.
