The School of Excellence has been one of the best experiences for our daughter Marianna. The quality of the training really shows when she is on the field with either her MPS team, her town team or just playing with friends. The coaching staff are superb and caring. They are all wonderfully skilled individuals who all clearly enjoy soccer as much as the players do.

Our team this year needed a new parent manager. The school of Excellence program impressed me so much that it took very little time for me to decide to become a part of the experience and sign on for the position.

Marianna can’t say enough about the program. She loves playing the game and the coaching staff only encourage that love of the game to grow, along with her skills. She is always trying to get some of her friends to come along to practices. Parents have asked us on the sidelines of town games where has she got the skills from that she shows on the field. We can only answer by telling them about MPS and the School of Excellence.

I wanted to perform my civic duty required by parents. She is LOVING your program and i’ve watched her grow so much in only a few weeks. Thank you so much for all your professionalism and courtesy towards her. She is a sensitive one, hard on herself and always trying her best to please her coaches. Your combination of the above has created a nice atmosphere for her to take risks, try hard and feel good about herself.

I watched part of yeterday’s practice and all I could think about was that I wished I had signed my older daughter up for the program years ago. While I have great respect for the BAYS system and the parents that volunteer their time, the reality is that some of them are totally ill suited to the task. The coaches practice session yesterday was far superior to any BAYS practice that I have witnessed. She connected with the kids, she was an active and enthusiastic facilitator, and she possesses the requisite skills to actually teach soccer. As I looked across the Elm Bank fields I had the feeling that I was in Italy or Brazil as opposed to the U.S. This is the type of coaching that our kids need to eventually compete on a world level.

I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate MPS on a wonderful job the staff have been doing in the area of communication and organization.

It has been a few years now that have Justice and Malcolm played with the SOE program, and I must say that every year it just keeps on getting better. The training that the boys receive every week keeps them in shape and teaches them new skills for a sport they love to play.

We think the MPS philosophy is right on target for 9-12 year olds. Skills, skills, skills with tons of fun and team building incorporated as well. We believe that you are only as good as your staff and you have outstanding staff. All of your coaches, which we have dealt with, have been knowledgeable, skillful and respectful. They are good listeners and have wonderful personalities. The kids look up to your coaches who are also excellent role models. This is our 4th year in the program.

As we are near mid-season, I could not be more pleased with the MPS program thus far.  Coach Walker has clear goals he sets for the girls in terms of skill development and team play.  Matt makes his expectations known and the girls respond well to his feedback from the sideline.  It has been a pleasure to see the girls make progress in terms of their individual play as well as team play.  I want to ackowlwdge Matt and the entire MPS program for providing an athlete centered approach in which overall development is emphasized in a healthy age-appropriate manner.
