Staffing F.A.Q.
Who will pay for my visa and flight?
MPS will cover all visa fees with the exception of costs assumed in scheduling your consulate appointment. You will be responsible for purchasing your flight and will be reimbursed up to $500 upon your arrival in the USA.
How long will I have for vacation time?
We appreciate that your schedule will be very busy and you will need some free time. During the clinic season in the spring and the fall, you will have either a Wednesday or Thursday off. During the summer camp season, weekends are generally free. There will also be some set company vacation periods such as Labor Day and Columbus Day.
What level of players will I be working with?
As an MPS coach you will work with a variety of players from the recreational to the Elite level, both male and female players. The decision of what teams and players you will work with will be based on experience and qualifications. A decision will be made by the Clubs Director of Coaching.
Does MPS Provide Travel Insurance?
MPS does not provide travel insurance, but you are insured on the job. MPS has local connections for injuries, but it is expected you gain travel insurance before you arrive in the US.
Where will I be staying?
Accommodation will be with through the Mass Premier Soccer host a coach program. Your accommodation which based around your coaching schedule and you will stay with one of the Mass Premier Soccer Families.
What Coach Development will I receive?
Mass Premier Soccer provides staff/coach development both on and off the field. The MPS Education series will see on field sessions and seminars looking to develop you as a coach and give you new ideas throughout the year. Through the MPS Education series we will focus on 6v6, 8v8 and 11v11 play for players U10, through U18.
Coaching Equipment?
Mass Premier Soccer pride themselves on our appearance both on and off the field, we provide staff with a full Adidas coaching and apparel package up to the value of the $700.
Will I have the opportunity to play?
The opportunities to play are limited due to the day to day coaching responsibilities that need to be fulfilled, however staff members generally enter local midweek leagues that are not associated with Mass Premier Soccer.
