By-Laws Soccerween 2011
Current FIFA and USSF rules of play shall be in effect except as specifically stated otherwise in these rules.
I. Eligibility
A. There are no restrictions on eligibility. All players are eligible to play in their respective age category.
II. Registration
A. Teams need to have submitted their application form and payment to Mass Premier Soccer by November 8th 2011.
B. All teams must submit a Roster prior too, or have one ready to present for registration at the field before their first game, showing all players competing for that team. A teams roster can be sent to Joe McGrath, 85 Central Street, Waltham, MA, before November 13th.
C. Each member of the team needs to have completed a Waiver Form (found on “tournament forms”) prior to competing in Soccerween and bring it with them to registration on the day of the Tournament.
D. Teams will be required to arrive for registration 45 minutes prior to the start of their games.
III. Rosters
A. All teams must submit an official Soccerween roster prior to competing.
B. Roster sizes will be as follow;
1. U8/ U9/U10 will play 6v6 and rosters will contain a maximum of 12 players
2. U11/12 will play 8v8 and rosters will contain a maximum of 16 players
3. U10 and U12 rosters for the 3v3 event will contain a maximum of 8 players
IV. Uniforms and Equipment
A. Teams are encouraged to come dressed in same coloured costume, however shin guards will be required for every player participating.
B. Games will be played using Official Size #4 balls
V. Officials and Playing Periods
A. Games will be officiated by 1 licensed centre referee.
B. The referee shall be the official time-keeper;
1. 6v6 games will be 25 minutes in length
2. 8v8 games will be 30 minutes in length
3. 3v3 games will be 12minute halves
VI. Substitutions
A. Unlimited substitutions are allowed with the consent of the referee at any stoppage of play.
VII. Results and League Standings
A. Three (3) points shall be awarded for a win.
B. One (1) point shall be awarded for a tie.
C. Zero (0) points shall be awarded for a loss.
D. If teams are tied on points, the following rules shall be used to break the tie:
1. Head-Head Cometition
2. Goal Difference
3. Goals For
IX. Conduct
A. All members of the team are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting this competitive yet fun Tournament.
